The summer isn’t quite over! There’s still plenty of classic motoring events you can attend with friends and family throughout September. Here’s a selection of our favourites:
1-3 September St James Concours D’Elegance at Hampton Court
Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Hampton Court Palace, this incredibly elegant motoring event is perfect for classic car owners and enthusiasts alike. On Friday, owners can enjoy a stunning procession of rare classic cars to celebrate the grand opening. The Saturday and Sunday are then open to spectators and their families, who can enjoy amazing displays, stalls, entertainment and refreshments. An adult day admission ticket is £40 with concessions available.
2-3 September International Autojumble Beaulieu
If you need to stock up your home garage, there’s no better place to shop than the International Autojumble Beaulieu. The saying is “if you can’t find it at Beaulieu, it doesn’t exist”, so head on down to The New Forest National Park and spend the day enjoying the ultimate shopping experience. Entry is just £15.20.
3 September Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar Show
Get up close and personal with over 500 stunning classic and supercars at Blenheim Palace. While you’re there, you’ll have the privilege of witnessing the Pirelli Prestige and Performance Competition which will feature 80 superb cars across 8 categories built from 1976 to modern day. Tickets from £15.30.
8-10 September Goodwood Revival
Goodwood Revival is a classic car festival you won’t want to miss. Celebrating the spiritual home of motoring, the event encourages spectators to dress in period vintage attire while surrounded by some of the most incredible cars that have ever been manufactured. Main features include historic racing, hundreds of stalls and trade stands, and competitions throughout the weekend.
16-17 September Land Rover Show Peterborough
Calling all Land Rover drivers and enthusiasts. The Land Rover Show Peterborough is a thrilling weekend event packed with races, live demos, musical performances and much more. You can book a camping spot for the entire weekend if you’d really like to make an occasion of it. Tickets are available from £14.
16-17 September Kop Hill Climb Buckinghamshire
Enjoy the view of vintage and classic cars from the last century at the Kop Hill Climb in Buckinghamshire. Special attractions include Genevieve, a twin-cylinder 10/12 hp Darracq built in Paris in 1904, celebrity appearances and a focus on Ferraris 70th birthday! Tickets are available from £10.
The Selkirk Rally promises a great day out for the whole family. Located at Sunderland Hall in the heart of the Scottish Borders, the event promises a display of veteran and military cars, car club displays, quad biking, children’s treasure hunts and an autojumble. Perfect for car enthusiasts young and old.
17 September The Big Welsh Classic Car Show
The Big Welsh Car Show is a charitable event for the whole family to enjoy. Set at Chepstow race course, the event promises an array of spectacular cars, family entertainment, trade stands, refreshments and classic car activities. Tickets are available from £10 with concessions available.
23 September Porsche Club GB National Event
Explore the stunning grounds of Ragley Hall while enjoying this year’s Porsche Club Concours d’Elégance. The Ragley gathering will give you the opportunity to sit back and relax amongst beautiful Porsches and likeminded owners. There will also be a Club marquee with refreshments, as well as exclusive parking for Club members.
24 September Hinckley Classic Motorshow Leicestershire
Get amongst more than 500 classic vehicle owners and 17,000 spectators from all over the country at Hinckley Town Centre for the Hinckley Classic Motorshow. Organised by the Hinckley BID, the show will display stunning cars, motorcycles, vans and scooters. Coventry Transport Museum will also be in attendance, as well as trade stands, entertainment and plenty to eat and drink.
27 September Brightwell Classic & Vintage Auction
