Holden Morgan At Run For The Hills

Last weekend thousands of Morgan owners and enthusiasts travelled from around the globe to Run For The Hills, an extraordinary motoring festival organised and hosted by Morgan Motors.
This year, the team from Holden Morgan were in attendance and spent the weekend of the 26th and 27th August basking in the celebratory atmosphere and sunny weather.

As you know, Holden Vintage & Classic launched Holden Morgan back in May after enjoying a long relationship with Morgan Motors spanning four decades. Katie Turner, general manager of Holden Morgan, said “Run For The Hills gave us a fantastic opportunity to get to know some other Morgan dealers that we’ve not met before, as well as many Morgan enthusiasts from around the country. Everyone was so complimentary of Holden Morgan as well as Holden Vintage & Classic and expressed real interest in our recent move towards becoming a Morgan dealership.”
The work-in-progress Morgan Plus 4 restoration chassis displayed at the Holden Morgan stand was a big hit with spectators, many of whom were intrigued to discover the ambitious aim that the car will be ready for the Rally Africa in October 2018. A 4/4 currently available for sale was also parked up for viewing.

Thanks to the glorious weather and array of activities, the festival was buzzing with excitement on both the Saturday and Sunday. Particular highlights included the ‘Pickersleigh 3 Run’, which involved a proud parade of beautiful 3-wheelers, as well as some impressive craftsmanship demonstrations and the Bold Dog motorcycle display. On the Saturday evening an elegant gala dinner was held for guests, which included the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet adventurer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who has under his belt a number of world records for his courageous expeditions.

Sunday saw some brilliant family entertainment including street style music, stilt walkers, a craft market and The Worcester Male Voice Choir. That evening, after a productive day talking to customers, the Holden Morgan team rested in a marquee and enjoyed a delightful spread of brie and rosé courtesy of two of our customers, while the festival concluded with a spectacular performance by the English Symphony Orchestra. This, as well as a stupendous fireworks display, marked the perfect end to an exhilarating weekend, and provided an opportunity for festival goers to sit back and relax as the sun set over a landscape of beautiful Morgan cars.
