Held in association with the Morgan Sports Car Club, Run For The Hills 2017 promises a packed schedule of all-things-Morgan.
As we recently became a Morgan Dealership, the team at Holden Morgan will be attending alongside other Morgan dealers, trade stands and specialists.
Things To Do
There’s so much on offer this year, we’ll be surprised if you can fit it all in! Over the course of the two day event, you’ll be able to take part in any of the following:
Pickersleigh 3
If you’re the proud owner of a 3-Wheeler, you might like to take part in the Pickeesleigh 3 run on the morning of Saturday 26th August. Pickersleigh 3 is an organised run from the Morgan factory on Pickersleigh Road, to Run For The Hills. All 3-Wheeler owners are welcome to turn up at the factory for 8.15am and take part in the 15 mile scenic run which will conclude with a victory lap around the main area of Run For The Hills in front of a sea of spectators.
Race a Morgan
If you’re not currently a Morgan owner, or even if you haven’t got a driving licence, you can take a thrilling passenger ride in one of our factory Morgans around the AutoSOLO course. This is the perfect activity for Morgan enthusiasts young and old, and will give you some fantastic photo opportunities too!
The Morgan ‘It’s An Auto Knockout’ Obstacle Course
Morgan drivers will go head to head in this hilarious and gripping challenge where the aim is to dodge obstacles and navigate a complicated course in the quickest time. If you think you’d like to have a go, you can register your interest by emailing runforthehills@morgan-motor.co.uk.
Demo Runs
Morgans old and new will be taking part in demo runs throughout the weekend, with a commentator narrating the day via a loud speaker. If you’re a Morgan enthusiast, you’ll love the variety of Morgans on display and will have a chance to get up close and personal with them too.
The World’s Fastest Car
The 1000mph Bloodhound SSC is a land speed record car that can cover a mile in 3.6 seconds. Yes you read that correctly! It’s powered by a jet engine and a rocket, and will be on static display at Run For The Hills this year!
Hot Air Balloon Ride
Enjoy a breathtaking view of Malvern and the surrounding areas by taking a thrilling hot air balloon ride. Rides are free, but are limited on a first come first serve basis and will be weather dependent.
Watch A Stunt Show
On both the Saturday and Sunday you and the family can enjoy stunt displays by Bold Dog FMX and Richard Goodwin. Bold Dog FMX will be occupying the main arena to show off their motorcycle stunt skills, while Richard will be taking to the skies in his extraordinary muscle biplane!
And the fun doesn’t stop there! Throughout the weekend you can also enjoy delicious artisan food and drink, a range of stalls and services, an up close view of live motoring craftsmanship and delightful music from the English symphony orchestra. This event is not one you and your family will want to miss, so whether you’re a Morgan owner or just a really big fan, we’d love you to stop by and enjoy the weekend.
