The summer isn’t over yet. August is packed with a huge range of classic motoring events spanning the entire country. So, pack a picnic, load your family into the car and head off to one of these extraordinary events that you won’t want to miss.

4-6 August 2017 Cambridge Mini Chill for all classics in Herts

Enjoy a chilled out weekend for just £2 to £10 per adult at the Marley Eternit Social Club in Hertfordshire. The weekend includes access to a huge range of minis on display, as well as a disco and opportunity for camping and BBQ s. You’ll be sure to meet likeminded classic mini drivers and have a relaxing weekend.

5 August 2017 Bentley Drivers Club at Silverstone

This annual event has been running for 68 years now, and continues to be a popular destination for Bentley drivers across the country. Enjoy a day of Bentley parades, races, live music and refreshments at the iconic Silverstone race track. Entry is £10 but there’s a discount for members.

5-6 August 2017 Supercar Weekend Beaulieu

Watch a parade of prestigious supercars and get up close and personal with the retro rallycross display at the Supercar Weekend Beaulieu. Not only will your ticket give you a pass to the festival, but also to the World Of Top Gear, National Motor Museum and Beaulieu Abbey!

5-6 August 2017 VSCC Prescott Hill Climb

Watch 250 pre-war racing and sports car take the challenge of the prestigious 880 yard course. There’ll be paddocks open to the public, as well as refreshments and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

6 August 2017 RREC North of England Rally

Now in its 38th year, this rally promises all things quintessentially English. Enjoy a view of stunning Rolls Royce motors while picnicking on the lawn, or take a walk to the terrace café for afternoon cream tea.

12 August Formula Vintage

Formula Vintage is returning this year to Mallory Park for the hallowed Bob Gerard Memorial Trophies. The one-of-a-kind event will promise a capacity grid of international Pre-1918 machinery, as well as an impressive period display in the paddock. Spectators can get tickets from as little as £8 and members will have access to the exclusive members lounge.

12-13 August 2017 Shelsley Walsh Champion Challenge

Celebrating 70 years of the British Hillclimb Championship, this two day event is set to have 4 run-offs over the weekend, as well as refreshments and entertainment for all. Invited clubs include Ferrari, and all MSA registered clubs and ticket prices are from £16.

20 August 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Host to 200 of the most prized collector cars from around the world, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is an event you won’t want to miss. This is a contest of elegance rather than speed. Motorcars and motorcycles are judged for their historical accuracy and overall style. View them up close and personal and watch the awards being presented between 1-5pm in the afternoon.

25-27 August 2017: CarFest South, Laverstoke Park Farm, nr Overton, Hampshire

Television personality and presenter Chris Evens first came up with the idea for CarFest, an all round entertaining weekend of music, classic cars, family fun and amazing food. Attractions include a vintage village, all day races, a carnival parade, family focused games and much more. All proceeds go to Children In Need.

26-28 August Morgan Run For The Hills

Get together with thousands of likeminded Morgan owners at the Malvern Three Counties Showground and enjoy a full schedule of entertainment and attractions. You’ll be able to see a number of stunning displays, live music, craftsmanship demonstrations, stunt shows, interviews, races and much more. Tickets from £13.15.

August 27, 2017: Syston Park Speed Trials, Syston, near Grantham, Lincolnshire

The Syston Park Speed Trials invites pre-1939 cars from across the country to take part in the famous half a mile hill climb. The day will commence at 10am and will feature several Syston Originals, as well as some fantastic period machinery from grand prix cars, eccentric aero engined Edwardian specials and works motor cycles from the TT. Tickets are £21.55.

27 August Blenheim Palace Festival of Transport

This event is truly unmissable. Featuring a huge range of classic cars and motorcycles, as well as VW’s, Hot Rods, Customs and Americans, Kit and Sports Cars, the Festival of Transport never fails to impress. You’ll also get to hear a running commentary throughout the day from a motor commentator and watch some vehicle judging in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace.
